In Madrid, hundreds of M-Files partners and users gathered for the annual M-Files conference. A week full of announcements of new technology, insights and awards. We speak to Anthony Boers, principal consultant at GeONE. He shares the secrets behind GeONE's success and reveals the latest innovations around the M-Files platform.
The basis of success
At the last M-Files conference in Madrid, GeONE was once again awarded the prestigious title of Global M-Files Partner of the Year. Why GeONE won this award for the fourth year in a row? Boers says: "Our approach plays a crucial role. We listen carefully to our customers, right from the pre-sales phase. We think early in the process about how to achieve business goals quickly and efficiently. User adoption is a key factor here; we involve users early on and show them how M-Files can support them in their daily work. Training and a good service desk ensure that users feel supported."
New developments M-Files platform
The Madrid conference offered more than just the award ceremony. "It was four days full of presentations and announcements. Important was the presentation of the new roadmap developments," Boers said.
One of the most discussed innovations was the introduction of M-Files Aino, a digital assistant that uses AI technology. "Think Chat GPT, but tailored to your own documents," Boers explains. "For example, you can request a summary of a document or have it name the main points of a report. But it goes further, you can make lightning-fast analyses on, for example, your entire vault or a certain selection of content. What sets M-Files Aino apart is the contextual precision thanks to the metadata we use in M-Files. As a result, the system delivers relevant and accurate answers that no other tool can provide."
Collaborate internally and externally with Microsoft Teams
The conference also highlighted new collaboration capabilities, especially with Microsoft Teams and Office 365. "The updated Teams integration enables easy communication of documents in chats and saving them in M-Files, including with external partners. This ensures smoother collaboration," Boers says.
M-Files Ment also received special attention, Boers explains, "M-Files Ment is an advanced document automation system that uses predefined templates and text blocks to compose documents. Employees can easily specify which type of document they need and for which customer or project it is intended. Ment ensures that all relevant information is filled in automatically, which not only saves time but also ensures the accuracy and consistency of documents. This system is particularly useful in sectors such as legal services, accountancy and insurance, where speed and precision are crucial."
Simply take the first step
For organisations wishing to embark on these developments, Boers recommends an information baseline measurement. "This maps the organisation's maturity in terms of information strategy, governance, technology and end users. This allows us to take small steps and test together, and ultimately embrace the latest technology sustainably."
With this innovative approach and constant focus on customer centricity, GeONE continues to set the standard in the world of M-Files. "It is an exciting time for information management, and we look forward to helping organisations on their AI journey," concludes Boers.
