Maximum efficiency with our

Build & Play™ method

With our unique Build & Play method, you implement software with maximum results. The method prevents rising costs, ensures happy and productive users and maximises the optimisation of your business processes.

Software implementation

and where things often go wrong

For organisations, the decision to choose a software product often has a clear objective. In many cases, this involves increasing efficiency, reducing errors, the likelihood of failure and associated costs, gaining greater insight, enabling mobile working, and so on.

With this objective in mind, an organisation’s management enters the market in search of a software product and the most suitable supplier.

Once a suitable solution has been found that meets the requirements, the project gets underway. The organisation’s project team focuses increasingly on the details and the elaboration of the objectives. Together with the supplier, they work to determine the appropriate scope, design and implementation of the software product.

Together, they eventually arrive at a functional design, exactly as the management team had envisaged.

Based on its interpretation of the functional design, the supplier translates this into a software solution. This is then delivered to the client with due pride.

But then...

... turns out the solution does not quite fit the needs after all

... users do not understand the solution, do not like how it works or do not see the added value of it

... even though the project team had come up with such a good functional design.

The result: a radical overhaul of the system, a budget that was significantly exceeded, dissatisfied users, a lack of user adoption and, above all, no solution to the original problem!

BUILD & PLAY METHOD™

Minimise risk, maximise returns

At GeOne, we use our own and unique Build & Play method, which allows clients to keep control of the project and costs, closely involve users and go for 100% user adoption.

Build

To ensure a successful software implementation, we break the system’s design down into small, manageable parts. This means we work with prototypes. A prototype represents the design of the software centred on a specific, well-defined area (Build). This is often a process, a working method or a workflow.

Play

Users will directly test (Play) the prototype, how the software works and how to use it. We then collect important feedback that we reflect in the setup, configuration and approach. This creates an iterative process.

Result

Through short iterations, we eventually improve and refine the functional design and set-up of the software. Until it is fully tailored to the user organisation, the way of working and meets the set objectives.

Think of it as building a new house. We do this room by room with great attention to detail and continuous adjustment by the client, so that in the end all the rooms and thus the whole house is realised to your liking.

Advantages Build & Play method

You are in the driverseat

Often, an organisation loses control from the moment software enters the implementation phase. Because the Build & Play method is a continuous iterative process, you can steer continuously. So no unexpected surprises and full control.

See what you get

Normally, you spend a lot of time on the project brief and then hope that the software supplier interprets and implements your requirements correctly. With the Build & Play method, you see results continuously at every step, process or group. Confusion is a thing of the past.

Seamless connection to processes

The software should adapt to your processes and not the other way around. Using the Build & Play method, we start working on each process or working method. This way, we ensure a seamless fit.

Support & adoption

In the Build & Play method, we put the user at the centre. Their way of working, role, responsibilities and process serve as our guiding principles. Users are experts in their own field, not software specialists.

Your result is

our passion

GeOne's certified business consultants enjoy listening to your needs and how you have designed your business processes, as they have enjoyed doing so more often. We employ only people who derive satisfaction from answering your business questions. We discuss and analyse your processes and know the lessons-learned, so we know how an M-Files implementation can make your organisation more efficient and agile, minimise errors and failure costs, provide intelligent insights and realise mobile working.
